Meet Dr. Gardner

ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON Mechanicsville, VA

Dr. GardnerMark Gardner, D.D.S., was born and raised in Fairmont, WV and is the oldest of 2 children. He received a Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University in 2012 where he majored in Physiology. He then earned his DDS degree from the WVU School of Dentistry in 2017. From here he completed his Internship and Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in June of 2021.

Dr. Gardner works out of our Mechanicsville office.

Dr. Gardner has always had a passion for anatomy, physiology and working with his hands. He initially pursued a career in physical therapy but discovered his passion when he started shadowing other health professions.  His interest in oral surgery began one summer in college when he spent time visiting a surgeon who is the father of a close friend.  He was instantly inspired not only by his surgical skill and knowledge of anatomy, but also by his ability to deliver anesthesia and manage medical comorbidities.  It was during this time that he knew he had found his calling.  He immediately began to change his career path towards oral and maxillofacial surgery and has never looked back.
